Biography
Tim Carroll is a full time teacher and performer who has been working in and around
the Tri-State area for over twenty years. Raised by professional Irish folk musicians,
Mark (Irish harp and Uilleann pipes) and Maryann Carroll (Hammered dulcimer), he
received his degrees in music education and violin performance from Temple University.
After college, Tim ran the string orchestra program at Kingsway Regional High School
in Swedesboro, NJ for four years. In 2010 he resigned to serve the body of Christ by
beginning string orchestras at several different Christian schools. He now teaches
strings (violin, viola, cello, and double bass) to over 100 students between 4 locations:
Delaware Valley Classical School, Concord Christian Academy, Trinity Preparatory School,
and a homeschool orchestra that meets in Elmer, NJ.
Tim appreciates and can participate in a wide range of musical styles including,
but not limited to, Irish, jazz, bluegrass, classical string ensembles, folk, and
all manner of church music.
