Tim Carroll is a full time teacher and performer who has been working in and around the Tri-State area for well over a decade. Raised by professional Irish folk musicians, Mark (Irish harp and Uilleann pipes) and Maryann Carroll (Hammered dulcimer), he received his degrees in music education and violin performance from Temple University. He has years of experience playing violin, fiddle, and viola in many settings including weddings, funerals, concerts, square dances, parties, restaurants and more.
Mr. Carroll played his way through college and then for four years he ran the string orchestra program at Kingsway Regional High School in Swedesboro, NJ. In 2010 he resigned to serve the body of Christ by beginning string orchestras at several different Christian schools. He now teaches strings (violin, viola, cello, and double bass) at Tall Oaks Classical Christian Academy and Concord Christian Academy in Delaware, and at Stratford Classical Christian Academy in NJ in addition to teaching privately in both states.
Mr. Carroll has worked with musicians in many different styles including, but not limited to, Irish, jazz, bluegrass, classical string ensembles, folk, and all manner of church music.
